Moved to a new server...

Moved to a VPS with Linode (http://linode.com) and installed ArchLinux. I'm currently running the following nodes:

http://node.zeneval.com/

Only storing content (images, etc) here for now, and still running my backend and database from NearlyFreeSpeech. When I get a bit of free time I may go ahead and move everything over to the Linode server, it really just depends. Honestly, I think I'll just use the Linode server as storage and development staging, and keep everything here with NFS. It's just SO cheap, and I already have $30 in my account, which should last me well over a year. I'm hosting my DNS here on NFS too, so I really might as well just stay. :)

Here's some stats from the VPS node:

Rolling out some updates later today hopefully...

I've been really busy for the last few months, and on top of that haven't had a stable internet connection. At one point I had a router on the roof in a plastic bag; was the only place I could get a decent signal, unfortunately... and it was such a crappy signal that it wasn't worth building a waterproof enclosure because it would drop all the time and I'd have to reboot the router.

Well, now I've got a good signal from the front part of the house (inside thankfully) and have a stable connection for the time being. Anyway, I've got lots of photos to upload, and lots of work to do... Hopefully I'll be able to get some photos uploaded today, and soon I will start blogging again.

Been too long...

I've been away from home for almost a month now... I have tons of photos to upload, but seem to have misplaced both of my card-readers. I have one at home, but last time I was there I forgot to offload all of the photos. Anyway, been looking for a job, got a few promising leads, but nothing concrete as of yet. The job market sucks right now... :[ Between that and car troubles, it's been a rough start to the year. It'll get better though, it has to. :]

Server Change

I still have to upload all of the old photos... It's a few Gbs worth... Kind of ridiculous... I'm considering offloading images to Amazon S3. For now I'm just uploading recent photos... Once I decide what I want to do in the long-run, I'll upload the rest. So... apologies for any broken photo links.

Update
I now have image hosting thanks to Ian @ Centraldown! This guy is seriously the bombshit. If only everyone were so generous...

I'm currently in the process of uploading all of the albums, etc... The albums should begin coming back online shortly.

Server Status

The server may go down temporarily (or permanently) soon... I'm running low on cash and I can't afford to keep paying the hosting right now.
