Moved to a new server...
Posted on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at 09:35:54 AM.Moved to a VPS with Linode (http://linode.com) and installed ArchLinux. I'm currently running the following nodes:
http://node.linuxinit.net/
http://node.gldes.com/
http://node.gordo4.com/
http://node.artonpause.com/
http://node.zeneval.com/
Only storing content (images, etc) here for now, and still running my backend and database from NearlyFreeSpeech. When I get a bit of free time I may go ahead and move everything over to the Linode server, it really just depends. Honestly, I think I'll just use the Linode server as storage and development staging, and keep everything here with NFS. It's just SO cheap, and I already have $30 in my account, which should last me well over a year. I'm hosting my DNS here on NFS too, so I really might as well just stay. :)
Here's some stats from the VPS node:
- 16 GB Storage
- 512 MB RAM
- 200GB Bandwidth
- $20/month
Derek's Wedding
Posted on Thursday, July 1, 2010 at 03:12:00 PM.Went to my girlfriend's brother's wedding... Never shot a wedding this way before; I wasn't doing the main photos. It was so hard to be a bystander instead of getting shots... Anyway, maybe I'll be shooting a wedding soon. Let's hope! :D
Split.Divide.Balance
Posted on Thursday, July 1, 2010 at 11:37:51 AM.Not very happy with these... I waited too long and the sun was too far behind the horizon. Maybe one day soon I'll remember what I was trying to capture and will snap it before the sun goes down.
Gulf
Posted on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at 08:31:43 AM.No seagulls.
No marine life.
The beach will never be the same.

Second set:
Not as happy with these... It was very overcast and rainy. I tried to use that, but alas... bad lighting is bad lighting. Oh, and did I mention that my flash batteries died? Grrr...
